About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team in Suriname. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining highly functional and engaging WordPress websites and applications. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire WordPress development lifecycle, from initial concept to implementation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Implement advanced features and functionalities using PHP, Laravel, Java, and Python
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex WordPress issues
• Optimize WordPress websites for performance and security
• Maintain and update existing WordPress websites
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress technologies and trends
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
• Document and maintain clear code and project documentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
• Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, Java, and Python
• Familiarity with various WordPress frameworks, including ACF, Genesis, and WooCommerce
• Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for WordPress and a commitment to continuous learning
